Principal's Message

Anissa Sorley Sequeida, Ed.D., Principal
Hello Parents and Community Members,

My name is Dr. Anissa Sequeida and I am the proud principal of Raymond A. Villa Fundamental Intermediate School. I am honored to be chosen to lead the Villa family through its next era. Villa is a special school with qualities and traits that are unlike any previous site I've served. My experience brings an extensive background in instruction serving as a middle school and high school teacher as well as teacher on special assignment and test liaison. As an administrator I worked as a Dean of Students and Assistant Principal, and in those roles lead all of the different facets of the school site. My doctorate in education and dissertation study encompassed leadership and the study of 21st Century teaching and learning, which will be particularly useful in moving Villa forward.

It is with great pride that I lead Villa. We have an excellent parent education program lead by community members, experts, and our very own certified parents. Our students have the opportunity to explore engineering through Project Lead the Way, and prepare themselves for college through AVID, and a community partnership with the Nicholas Academic Center. Our students have access to the GRIP program, Red Tie and Pearl Club, and a No Bully Squad. Incoming 6th graders are invited to spend four days with us before beginning their tenure here at Villa. During this Summer Bridge 6th graders become oriented with the campus, familiar with an intermediate school schedule, and begin building relationships with their peers and staff.

Here at Raymond A. Villa Fundamental Intermediate School we are a "Villa family" and we thank you for visiting our website.

Anissa Sorley Sequeida, Ed.D.
