Here we are, well into the school year and approaching late fall, our focus is academic growth and achieving exceptional study skills to become life long learners. Once again our school continues to personify high college readiness involvement, with engaged student participation in activities, arts, and athletics. All of our seniors have taken the ACT this year while the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors take their college prep exams later this month. More of our students are involved in AP classes than any other school in the district and we are the only school to offer American Sign Language as a World Language course. For the first time in school history we have over 1,000 students participating in 14 different sports and have more than 25 clubs operating on campus for students to choose from. Our drama department is preparing for the upcoming production at the end of November and we have re-introduced AP Art History to our campus after a one-year absence. Segerstrom is truly one of the great high schools of Orange County and continues to be a leader with innovation and personalized learning.
As parents, you participation is vital to helping us continue the successes of our school. Help your students understand the importance of education and remind them that hard work, good study skills, and caring about their grades are important qualities to ensure future success. Come out and support the Segerstrom programs and events, I always look forward to meeting new faces and engaging in your conversations to improve our school. As we continue to grind through the Fall season, keep kids healthy and involved in their work.
