Welcome back Jaguars,
Another summer is quickly coming to a close and the upcoming school year will be a new challenge for all. Each student will begin a new grade level, participate in different classes, meet new friends and grow another year older. Another year of hope, another year of expectations, and another chance to start fresh while understanding the many obstacles that will not get in the way of our goals. We are here to help, working together and continuing the strong standards that make Segerstrom a college preparatory school for all students.
Our bell schedule has a new look. Stakeholders came together to revise our method of utilizing valuable time to provide more learning and understanding to our students needs. Seminar (or homeroom) will now take place once per week (Friday) and teacher collaboration will occur during 24 late start Mondays. This was a tremendous example of how dedicated the Segerstrom staff is toward your student’s success.
This year all 9th grade students will receive a Chrome book to allow a greater universe of learning because learning should not be restricted to the classroom or stop when an assignment is turned in. We are excited about becoming an ACT program school for all of our juniors and seniors. Segerstrom students will be taking the ACT on campus, during the school day, twice per year. A very unique program only offered at our high school.
All stakeholders are welcome to get involved in the school, we encourage everyone to participate and stay engaged in student success. Please remember the important dates listed below;
Good luck Jaguars and have a great year!
